I’ve had many requests lately for additional healthy juice recipes and, of course, I am more than happy to oblige. I originally saw this juice on Elephant Journal last month and have been making/loving it for a few weeks now. It’s a pretty smart combination of very detoxifying ingredients. Briefly, here are some potential benefits:
One of the greatest benefits of eating pineapple is bromelain. The enzyme aids digestion, allowing the body to break down protein more efficiently and helps to clean your body from the inside by removing debris and toxins from the blood stream. Pineapple is also an anti-inflammatory which is great for relieving joint pain and arthritis. You’ll also get a healthy dose of manganese (regulate blood sugar levels and supports the immune system), Vitamins C and B1.
Excellent for hydration (they are about 95% water) and flushing out toxins from the digestive system, cucumbers are also chock-full of vitamins and minerals. You’ll find vitamins A, C, K, B6 as well as folate and thiamin. And aside from salt, all minerals are present and accounted for in one cup of cucumbers, including; calcium, iron, manganese, selenium, zinc and potassium.
aloe vera juice:
Aloe is some kind a of miracle plant. It’s an antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral AND it works wonders for your digestive system. It helps relieve heartburn, constipation and contains calcium, iron, potassium, plus vitamins C, B-12 and E. I will tell you it is an acquired taste which is why it works so well with the strong, sweet flavor of the pineapple.
Coconut water is another great, effecient hydrator. It is full of electrolytes and 8oz has 2x the potassium of a banana.
